Roger Federer has been the most successful player at Wimbledon, along with every competition he has played throughout his career. The tennis player from Switzerland came as a young 17-year-old boy and left as one of the greatest players in the world.

8 August 1981 was the date when Roger Federer was born. The place where he was born was Basel, Switzerland. He played his first ever senior tennis match in 1998 when he was seventeen years old. Since then, he announced himself to the tennis world.

During his 24-year career, which itself is an achievement, he managed to win 20 Grand Slam Titles. Roger Federer became the first player in history to reach the 20 titles mark, but later it was broken. Federer has won eight Wimbledon titles (most by any tennis player), six Australian Open titles, five US Open titles, and one French Open title.

1st Record – Most Men’s Singles Titles

Roger Federer has won the maximum Wimbledon titles in history, eight titles. Earlier, the records belonged to William Renshaw and Pete Sampras. He won the first Wimbledon in 2003, when he was twenty-three years old. Novak Djokovic is still trying to equal the record, but it seems tough, surely.

He is the only player to win five consecutive Wimbledon titles (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007).

It was easy for Roger Federer to play on any surface as he had the hunger to get the job done. Starting from 2003 and ending in 2008, he won a total of sixty-five matches at Wimbledon on the Grass Surface.

4th Record – Most Match Wins at Wimbledon

When you win so much, it is certain that you will have the most wins. Roger Federer holds the record for the most wins in the history of Wimbledon, 105 wins.

His longevity, passion, and commitment to the match show why he is one of the greatest tennis players ever. At 35 years and 11 months, he won the eighth Wimbledon title, defeating Marin Cilic in the final, which made him the Oldest Wimbledon Men’s Singles Champion.
