The TransStadia in Ahmedabad was the venue for this Southern Derby. It was also the first time that Tamil Thalaivas won a match against the Telugu Titans in the Pro Kabaddi League. Basically, the Tamil Thalaivas won it by 27-23. The well-known Ajay Thakur started the game very well for the Tamil Thalaivas. Tamil Thalaivas had a lead of eight points during halftime. Lastly, they won the game by 4 points.

60th Match, Season 9
This time, the venue for the Southern Derby was Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Pune. Tamil Thalaivas were the winners in this match with the final score of 39-31. It was a moment of brilliance from Ajinkya Pawar. He basically grabbed a six-pointer super raid. This happened in the last moments of the match.
2nd Match, Season 8
It was just the second match of the eighth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. Both teams, Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans, couldn’t be separated as the match had 80 points. It basically ended as a 40-40 draw. Manjeet couldn’t get the point in the last minute as Ruturaj Koravi tackled him. Siddharth Sirish Desai was the game changer for the Telugu Titans.
