In the year 2018, Suarez founded the club and named it Deportivo LS. Now, Messi is also a part of a club, so he changed it to Deportivo LSM. The ‘LSM’ in the name stands for the initials of both players.

Deportivo LS is a family dream that began in 2018. We have grown a lot with more than 3,000 members. I want to offer Uruguayan soccer, the place I love and where I grew up as a child, opportunities and tools for teenagers and children to grow.
The club will play professional football in the fourth division of Uruguay. Luis Suarez understands football very well and is one of the big names when we talk about strikers. There are a lot of great players from Uruguay who are playing at big clubs, such as Federico Valverde, who plays for Real Madrid, Darwin Nunez, who plays for Liverpool, and Ronald Araujo, who plays for FC Barcelona.
