Basically, Mahela Jayawardene leads the chart for the most catches in the Asia Cup history. He has 15 matches in the 28 matches that he has played in the competition. Mahela Jayawardene made his Asia Cup debut in the 2000 edition.
He has played six Asia Cup editions and has won a total of three Asia Cup titles. Sri Lanka has also won the Asia Cup under his captaincy once, which was in 2008.
