The deal was that if the villagers won, they would leave India, and if the Britishers won, they would get paid double Lagaan. At the end, the leader (Aamir Khan) and his team defeated the Britishers, and they were sent back home.

This movie is purely based on Chetan Bhagat’s book. The name of the book is The 3 Mistakes of My Life. Late Sushant Singh Rajput, the lead of the movie, opened a cricket academy in Gujarat.
He coaches a muslim young boy, whose name is Ishaan. It also involves the real events, such as the Gujarat earthquake and the 2002 riots. It eventually shows the tension, friendship, and passion for the game of cricket.
Ferrari Ki Sawaari
A friend betrayed his other friend during a selection process for the Indian Team. A few years later, his grandson had all the qualities of becoming a cricketer. There was a training camp in London, and they couldn’t afford it.
He secretly agrees to bring Sachin Tendulkar’s Ferrari to a local politician’s son’s wedding. For this he would get he fees of the training camp. The movie shows the sacrifice made by a father and ends with him going to the camp
Jersey
The main character of the film (Shahid Kapoor) is a young cricketer full of talent, but quits the game at a young age and starts living a normal life. Later, his son asks him for a jersey on his birthday, but he couldn’t provide it to him due to financial struggles.

Patiala House
This story also starts with a young fast bowler (Akshay Kumar) called Gattu, who puts an end to his dream as his father didn’t want him to play cricket. Racism was one of the prime reasons for him not to play as per his father’s wishes.
He got a chance to play, and Gattu started playing secretly, hiding from his father. At one point, he had to choose his father or his dream. Basically, he played and ended one of the generational barriers. It was all because of cricket.
