All ten teams playing at the start of the season will always want to be the last two teams playing in the final. Today is the day when we will see the new champions of the Indian Premier League. 7:30 PM is the time, and the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is the venue. RCB vs PBKS IPL Final, Ahmedabad Pitch Report is something everyone will keep an eye on.

The teams that finished first and second in the points league are playing the final. It is fair to say that both teams equally deserve to be here. One thing is for sure: we are going to see players giving their all for the trophy because, in the end, that’s what they have worked hard for.

RCB vs PBKS IPL Final, Ahmedabad Pitch Report

As per reports, this pitch has a mix of both red and black soil. One thing is for sure: the batsman will enjoy batting, and we can see a lot of runs on the board. It can be a day for the bowlers to forget, as they most likely see batters scoring runs against them in the final.

It was the month of March when Punjab Kings faced Gujarat Titans, and the same pitch was used. In that game, we saw almost 500 runs scored. Punjab Kings won that game by 11 runs. They already have the experience of playing on that pitch.

The average first innings score at this venue has to be above 200, and the team batting first will want to score 20-25 runs more than the par score.

Toss Factor and Ground Conditions

The toss is very important, especially in the bigger matches, and it surely depends on luck. Many of the captains always want to bat first in the finals and put the runs on the board. The very simple reason for it is that the pressure is always on the opponents to score the runs in the second inning. A score below par can also be tough to score as the pressure of the final is immense.

As we all know, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is known for big totals. The team batting first has also won a lot of matches where batting second can be easy, as dew comes into play. In the last match, because of the rain, the match was delayed, although we have a reserve day as well. This can be one of the reasons to bowl first in the match, as the DLS method comes into play, the chasing teams know their target over time.

One thing that favours the Punjab Kings is that they have played two games here. They have won both of them, one while batting first and once while chasing.

Stadium Stats

When we look at the statistics of all the Indian Premier League games at the Narendra Modi Stadium, a total of 44 matches have been played there. The record suggests that batting first or second doesn’t matter a lot at the venue. In all the games played here, the team batting first has won 21 times, whereas the team chasing has won 22 times. There was one game that ended in no result.

The highest total chase at this stadium is 205, which was by the Kolkata Knight Riders in 2023 against the Gujarat Titans, where the lowest score defended was 130 by the Delhi Capitals against the Gujarat Titans in the same year.

When we talk about the stats of both the finalists at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won just two out of the five matches, whereas Punjab has a better record, winning four out of the six matches they played.
