Only a few months remain for the much-awaited ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. The very first match of the 2025 season is scheduled to take place on 30th September 2025. So, the official administrators of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 announced the hosts and full Venue details.
A total of eight national teams are ready and looking forward to competing for the title of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Teams are scheduled to play the round-robin format in which Teams will face each other, and the top four leading teams will advance to the knockout Stage.

Which Country will host the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025?
As per the official sources, India and Sri Lanka are going to co-host the thrilling season of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. It will be the first time that two countries will host the Single edition of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup since its establishment in 1973.
A total of five different venues will host 31 Fixtures of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 season. There will be one Venue from Sri Lanka which will host the scheduled matches. R. Premdasa Stadium in Colombo is looking forward to hosting the matches.
India:
- M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru
- Holkar Stadium, Indore
- ACA Cricket Stadium, Guwahati
- ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam
Sri Lanka:
- R. Premdasa Stadium, Colombo
On the other hand, four venues from India will host the event: Bengaluru, Indore, Guwahati, and Visakhapatnam. The administrators are yet to reveal the full Fixtures along with the venues for the 2025 season. But the most awaited and action-packed event, the final match, is likely to take place at Bengaluru or Colombo.
Why Are Pakistan’s Matches in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 Being Played in Sri Lanka?
Pakistan National Side will play their scheduled matches of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in Sri Lanka. They have made a deal with the ICC and as per the deal, they play their matches in Colombo and not in the host nation India.
The latest season of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 took place in Pakistan, while India played their matches in Dubai due to the conflicts.
What Are the Key Dates for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025?
The host country, India, is most likely to play the opening game of the event, which will take place on 30th September 2025. Moving forward, the exciting knockout games Semifinals 1 and 2 will take place on 29th October and 30th October, respectively.
