The International Cricket Council (ICC) always appreciates the efforts of all the players and rewards them. It is always great for a player to receive this award, as any award won for the country is special. Eventually, the ICC Men’s Player of the Month June 2025 Nominees, and we have a total of three players.
It was almost 26 years later that South Africa won an ICC Trophy, as the last time they won was in the year 1998, which was called the ICC Knock Out Trophy. Now, it is called the ICC Champions Trophy. There are two players from South Africa, and there is one player from the Sri Lankan team. All the fans can choose the winner as they can vote on the ICC’s website.

Aiden Markram (South Africa)
He was the player who played one of the most important innings of his life, which secured the World Test Championship title for his team. First, with the ball, he picked up the important wicket of Steve Smith. The match did not start the way he wanted in batting as he got out on zero in the first inning. Mitchell Starc got him out clean bowled.
The second innings was the best part of the match, as while chasing a target of 282, he scored 136 runs. Aiden Markram exactly showed what patience means and built a partnership of 147 runs with his captain, Temba Bavuma. He couldn’t finish the match as he had just gotten out, 12 runs before the final target. Aiden Markram was the Man of the Match in the Final of the World Test Championship.
Kagiso Rabada (South Africa)
Markram was the main man with the bat, whereas Kagiso Rabada was the leader in the bowling department. Kagiso Rabada picked up five wickets for 51 runs. Basically, the wickets were of the players Khawaja, Green, Webster, Cummins, and Mitchell Starc.
He just missed a 10-wicket haul in the match as he got four wickets in the second innings of the World Test Championship final. Kagiso Rabada again got the better of Khawaja and Green, whereas the other two wickets were Alex Carey and Lyon. He picked up a total of nine wickets for 11o runs in both innings combined.
Pathum Nissanka (Sri Lanka)
He is on the list because of the performance he gave in the new cycle of the World Test Championship, playing against Bangladesh. Pathum Nissanka, in the three innings of the two-test matches, scored 399 runs, which included two centuries.
In the first test match, he scored 187 runs, and in the second innings, he got out on 24. Eventually, the match ended in a draw. The second match was where Sri Lanka won by an innings and 78 runs. Pathum Nissanka scored a magnificent 157 runs in the only innings Sri Lanka batted.
