We can welcome back one of the T20 competitions, which was stopped just after the six editions. If you have guessed it, it is the Champions League T20. In an annual meeting of ICC, which happened in Singapore, there was a discussion about bringing the league back. ICC Champions League T20 Re-launching after more than 10 years, and the year will be 2026.
In 2026, the competition can take place at the same time as UEFA Champions League, a football league. If everything fits perfectly, this will be a very exciting competition with teams competing from around the world in the Champions League T20.

ICC Champions League T20 Re-launching after more than 10 years
The first edition of the Champions League T20 was in 2009. Basically, Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa all came together and had an idea behind the competition, and they started it. India was the host of that edition. From the next years, the Champions League T20 once used to happen in South Africa and once in India.
Basically, Indian Premier League teams, Chennai Super Kings, and Mumbai Indians have won the title the most. Both teams have won the title twice, Chennai Super Kings (2010 and 2014) and Mumbai Indians (2011 and 2013). Suresh Raina is the highest run scorer of the competition, whereas Sunil Narine is the highest wicket taker.
One of the toughest things would be which window the matches of the competition will be played. They are looking at the month of September, which means cancelling the other few matches. If we look at the previous founders of the competition, the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Cricket Australia, and Cricket South Africa were the three. There are rumours that the England Cricket Board (ECB) is set to join this time.
Choosing a broadcaster would be the other important thing for the organizers. The competition was basically discontinued because the broadcasters were not getting the returns and were suffering losses. It would be great to see who can be the broadcaster of the Champions League T20. It is no confirmation, but JioHotsar can be one og the options for the new broadcaster.
