This will be a T20 format tournament, and we will see two new teams being added to the competition. In the previous, there were six teams; now we have eight teams. All eight teams are divided and placed in two Groups, which are Group A and Group B. Purani Dilli 6, West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, North Delhi Strikers, Delhi Warriors, New Delhi Tigers, Central Delhi Kings, and South Delhi Superstarz are the teams.
In the auction, we saw some of the expensive buys. Simarjeet Singh was picked by the Central Delhi Kings for 39 lakhs, whereas they also got Yash Dhull for 15 lakhs. Digvesh Rathi will play for South Delhi Superstarz as they got him 38 lakhs. Nitish Rana will get 34 lakhs and will play for West Delhi Lions. Another Superstar is Ishant Sharma, who will play for West Delhi Lions. His buying price in the auction was 13 lakhs. Aryaveer Kohli will also play in the Delhi Premier League 2025 for the South Delhi Superstarz. Basically, he is the nephew of Virat Kohli, and his age is just 15 years.
