In the previous edition of the Delhi Premier League, which was also the first edition of the competition, the East Delhi Riders were the winners. It was a very close final as they were facing the South Delhi Superstarz. East Delhi Riders won the match by just three runs. Delhi Premier League 2025 Points Table and Standing Rules
In this edition of the Delhi Premier League, two more teams have been added. So basically, we will see a total of eight teams in the Delhi Premier League 2025. West Delhi Lions, Purani Dilli 6, North Delhi Strikers, Central Delhi Kings, East Delhi Riders, South Delhi Superstarz, New Delhi Tigers, and Outer Delhi Warriors are the teams. In total, there are forty-four matches.
For every win, a team gets two points. If the match is tied, we have a super over till the winner is decided. There is no point given to the loser, whereas if the match is not played for any reason, then the teams playing share a point apiece. Each team will play a total of ten matches in the competition. There are two groups, Group A and Group B.
- Group A: North Delhi Strikers, Delhi Warriors, New Delhi Tigers, and Central Delhi Kings.
- Group B: Purani Dilli 6, West Delhi Lions, East Delhi Riders, and South Delhi Superstarz.
We will see a total of four play-off matches, in which two are qualifiers, one is the eliminator, and one is the big final. In the first qualifier, the top two teams play, whereas the eliminator is between the third and fourth place teams. The winners of the eliminator play the loser of the qualifier 1 in the qualifier 2. Lastly, the winners of both Qualifiers play in the final, just like the format of the Indian Premier League.
