Five teams are participating in the competition, each of them hoping to win their first title. Initially, this tournament was a T10 format game, but it has now been upgraded to a Twenty20 format. Due to fewer teams, the competition follows a double round-robin format for the games.

Do not confuse it with the Boland T20 games for the younger players. The difference is in the name itself; this tournament is a Super League.
