The 2025 FIBA Asia Cup is a basketball tournament among Asian countries. Itโs the 31st Edition of the tournament from 5 August to 17 August 2025. Saudi Arabia is hosting the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, and the venue is in Jeddah. At the moment, seven teams have qualified for the upcoming matches, and nine teams remain. The tournamentโs format is round-robin.
Before the tournament begins, a pre-qualifying and a qualifying round takes place. The pre-qualifying round consists of the teams that did not participate in the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup. This round determines the teams that will advance to the qualifying round.
The qualifying round already had the teams from the 2022 FIBA Asia Cup, which later included the teams from the pre-qualifying round. The pre-qualifying rounds witnessed eighteen participating teams, whereas the qualifying round had sixteen.
There are thirty participants in the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup, which will narrow down to the sixteen essential teams. However, the math may not add up because Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Cambodia withdrew from the tournament during the qualifications.

The 2025 FIBA Asia Cup will commence on 5 August 2025 and conclude on 17 August 2025. From the current day, thereโs about five months until the tournament begins. Therefore, the schedule for the 2025 FIBA Asia Cup is undecided. However, we will update the schedule when it arrives.
The pre-qualifying rounds have already produced the result, and the qualifying rounds are ongoing. At the end of the qualifying rounds, the nine remaining teams will be determined.

Qualifiers
The overall qualifying rounds began on 2 June 2022 and will conclude on 26 February 2025. The pre-qualifying rounds were held in June, November 2022, and February 2023. Twelve teams advance to the second round, which will lead to eight teams entering the qualifiers.

Format
The teams will compete in a double round-robin format in their respective groups. This format applies to the qualifying teams. There are six groups from A, each consisting of four teams. The top two teams of each group qualify.
