He is second on the list when it comes to the most player of the match awards, but is the highest run-scorer in the Asia Cup. Sanath Jayasuriya has played a total of 25 matches and scored 1220 runs.
He has scored a total of six centuries and three half-centuries. Sanath Jayasuriya also has the best average among the top five run-getters of the Asia Cup.
Kumar Sangakkara (Sri Lanka)
Another Sri Lankan batsman is in the list, Kumar Sangakkara. He has played 24 matches and scored a total of 1075 runs, which makes him the second-highest run scorer in the Asia Cup. Kumar Sangakkara has scored a total of eight fifties and four centuries.
His knock against India in 2014, where he scored 104 runs, is one of his best innings in this competition. He won four player of the match awards in the 24 Asia Cup matches.
Sachin Tendulkar (India)

Rohit Sharma (India)
The 2023 edition was the last time we saw Rohit Sharma playing in the Asia Cup. His team won that edition. Rohit Sharma has played a total of 28 Asia Cup matches for India and scored 939 runs. This includes one century and nine half-centuries.
Rohit Sharma holds the record for the most half-centuries in the Asia Cup. One of his memorable Asia Cup knocks was against Pakistan in 2018, where he scored 111 runs.
Mushfiqur Rahim (Bangladesh)
Basically, Mushfiqur Rahim is the only player from Bangladesh to be in the top ten run-getters of the Asia Cup. He has played a total of 25 matches, where he has scored 830 runs. These runs include three half-centuries and two hundreds.
During the 2018 Asia Cup, he scored 144 runs in the match against Sri Lanka. His team was struggling, and after his knock, Bangladesh won the match by a great margin.
