The announcement for the India Time Table of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the squads for almost all the teams are already public. The Champions Trophy’s ninth edition will begin on 19 February 2025 and conclude on 9 March 2025.
Eight teams are participating in the ICC ODI tournament. The criteria for the team selection depends on their ranking in the Cricket World Cup. The hosts for the Champions Trophy 2025 are Pakistan and the UAE. In the beginning, only Pakistan was the host by default for winning the previous Champions Trophy in 2017.
However, the Indian team raised security concerns regarding their travel to Pakistan. The ICC made the decision to host India-related matches in the UAE at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
India has two titles in the ICC Champions Trophy from the years 2022 and 2013. They share the title of the most successful team with Australia. This could be India’s opportunity to win the Champions Trophy and take the lead in the number of trophies. It’s also their chance to defeat their rivals, Pakistan, in the Champions Trophy, considering India’s track record of losses.
