This is the second edition of the Pondicherry Premier League, as it provides a platform for the youngsters from Pondicherry to showcase their talent. Pondicherry Premier League 2025 has already commenced from 6th July, whereas the big day, the final, is on 27th July. Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground in Puducherry is the venue for all the matches, including the knockouts. There are a total of six teams that will compete for the trophy of the Pondicherry Premier League. Basically, the teams are Villianur Mohit Kings, Ruby White Town Legends, Genid Yanam Royals, Karaikal Kniights, Ossudu Accord Warriors, and Mahe Megalo Strikers. The tournament is in a T20 format, and there are a total of 34 matches.
In the previous season, Mahe Megalo Strikers were the winners as they were victorious against Villianur Mohit Kings. Mahe Megalo Strikers were chasing a target of 117. They chased it comfortably with 17 balls and six wickets to spare. Ritesh Ashok Gudge was the man of the match.

Who will win the Pondicherry Premier League 2025?
We are halfway through the competition, and there are sixteen matches that have already been completed. Basically, all the teams play against each other twice in the tournament. The top four teams of the competition qualify for the knockouts. Eventually, the format is the same for the knockouts as the IPL. The top two play in the qualifier one, the winner goes into the final, whereas the 3rd and 4th play in the eliminator. The winner of the eliminator plays against the loser of qualifier 1 in qualifier 2. This game’s winner qualifies for the final.
Last year’s runner-up team, Villianur Mohit Kings, is the best team so far in the tournament. They have played five games so far and won all five, and have almost one foot in the knockouts. At the same time, last year’s champions, Mahe Megalo Strikers, are struggling with losing four matches in the first five matches. A miracle can save them from here.
Villianur Mohit Kings might have missed out on the trophy, but they surely won’t this time. They look like a complete team and are rock solid in every department. Bhanu Anandhas scored 249 runs in five innings, which includes three fifties. Himanshu Sahani has taken 11 wickets in the five matches, getting a wicket after every 9.55 runs.
