Life is surely unpredictable and unfair at times, as Diogo Jota dies at 28 in a Car Accident along with his brother Andre Silva. This day has to be one of the saddest days in the history of football. Liverpool and Portugal lost a bright superstar in a car crash in Zamoara, Spain.
The news came out as the Spanish Civil Guard confirmed, and Marca was the first to upload on their handles. Basically, the incident happened around 12:30 am local time, when Diogo Jota and his brother, Andre Silva, while overtaking, had their tyre blow out and their Lamborghini crashed.
Diogo Jota dies at 28 in a Car Accident
Diogo Jota was having the best time of his life on the football field as well as off the field. Starting from May, his team Liverpool won the Premier League. This was the club’s 20th title, equalling Manchester United’s record for the most Premier titles. He played 37 games for Liverpool this season and scored nine goals and provided three assists.
In June, his team played the UEFA Nations League, and guess what? Portugal won the UEFA Nations League for the second time in their history. He did not contribute much in the semi-finals and finals, but played an important role in Portugal reaching the final.
As Liverpool, we were not playing in the FIFA Club World Cup, Diogo Jota had planned his wedding and got married on 22nd June to his partner, Rute Cardoso. Later, he went on vacation with his brother Andre, and both are now forever gone.

Rute Cardoso and Diogo Jota have been together for the last twelve years. The couple had three children. Diogo Jota and his partner, Rute Cardoso, got married in Porto, which is Diogo Jota’s hometown. The date of the wedding was 22nd June.
Just 12 hours before the car accident, Diogo Jota posted a video about his wedding on his Instagram account. His wife, his parents, his children, his club, or his fans, no one, including him, would have thought that this would be his last post.
The parents lost both their children, a wife lost her husband, and three children lost their father. They might be wondering, what was their fault, but sometimes life is not at all fair.
