The Board of Control for Cricket in India has finally announced the India Test Squad captain for England 2025. Earlier, with Virat Kohli’s retirement, the spot for the next captain was empty. The Indian team was on a search for someone to fill and lead the test team to lead them to success.

As the England Test series is going to start, India has a fresh Test squad for England 2025 in action. After Virat Kohli’s retirement, the BCCI selected Shubman Gill as their new Test captain. At just 25, Gill steps into captaincy for the first time in a full series. He is not an aggressive kind of leader; he leads calmly and with a lot of confidence.

Gill’s captaincy is joined by none other than Rishab Pant. Rishab returns after a long injury break as vice-captain and wicketkeeper. The squad is an excellent combination of experienced players and young talent, giving India an upper hand in the game. Here is the list of players on the team:
